Landscaping & outdoor living in Clearwater

Our hometown — the shop is on Eastwood Dr, so your project is never more than a few minutes from the crew.

Clearwater is home base — our shop sits on Eastwood Dr, and most of our crew lives inside the city limits. That matters in practical ways: material runs don’t eat your schedule, a punch-list visit isn’t a two-week wait, and we already know how your neighborhood drains in a July downpour.

The city’s yards span two different worlds. Out toward Countryside and Skycrest you’re on sandy upland soil where drought-tolerant planting and irrigation tuning decide whether a lawn survives August. On Island Estates and near the beach, salt spray and reclaimed-water schedules push design toward sea grapes, palms, and hardscape that shrugs off the coast. We design for the block you’re actually on.

Paver patios and outdoor kitchens are our most-requested Clearwater projects — this is a city that lives outside ten months a year. If you’re starting with just a tired front bed, that’s a fine first project too; a surprising number of our whole-yard clients started with one planting refresh.

What we build most in Clearwater

Three projects dominate our Clearwater calendar. Paver driveways — the city’s ranch-era concrete is cracking out all at once, and a rebuilt paver drive is the highest-visibility upgrade a block sees. Outdoor kitchens and covered living space, because this is a town that hosts outside from October through May. And salt-smart front-yard redesigns west of Fort Harrison and out on Island Estates, where whatever the builder planted in 1985 has been losing to the spray ever since.

The Clearwater yard, decoded

  • Soil: fine, fast-draining sand — great drainage, zero nutrient holding; beds live and die by soil prep and mulch.
  • Salt: strong along the beach corridors and Island Estates, fading fast east of Fort Harrison Ave.
  • Water: much of the city irrigates on reclaimed water with fixed schedules — we design planting to that cadence.
  • Sun: canopy is modest in most neighborhoods; assume full-sun plant selections unless your street says otherwise.
  • Local quirk: the US 19 corridor traps heat — plants rated “full sun” elsewhere can still cook there. We pick from the proven-tough list.
